An influencer’s three-year-old daughter has tragically died while on holiday after reportedly following a cat outside and falling into a swimming pool.
Giullersis Claudio was away with her partner, Manny Maldonado, and their two children when the tragedy occurred.
The family – originally from Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic – had been spending a few days at a villa in Puerto Plata.
At around 7am on Sunday (31 May), the couple’s daughter, Amanda Michelle, is said to have woken up and followed a cat outside while her mother was attending to their younger child, Manuel Ángel.
According to available information, the toddler accidentally fell into the swimming pool.
No further details have been released publicly so far, as reported by Need To Know.
Giullersis, known online as “La Negra del Swing”, has more than 593,000 followers on TikTok and 339,000 on Instagram, where she shares family content.
She wrote yesterday (2 Jun): “Thank you all for your messages. I can’t read them right now, but very soon my angel will give me strength.”
One follower commented: “I’ll pray for you, so that nothing and no one ever makes you doubt how amazing you were to her.
“From one mum to another, I’m holding you close and sending you the biggest hug.”
On Monday (1 Jun), Manny, a local businessman involved in domestic borehole drilling, posted a video of Amanda giving him a foot massage.
He captioned it: “I will love you forever, my daddy’s princess. May God keep you by His side, my little angel.”
Amanda’s funeral was held in Jarabacoa yesterday (2 June).
At the time of writing, no official statement from the authorities had yet been released.
