A have-a-go hero managed to stop an “armed” robber from emptying a till at a Lidl supermarket.
CCTV footage dated 28 May, and released yesterday (18 Jun), shows the man walking into the superstore.
Wearing a hoodie pulled tight around his face and distinctive sports glasses, he headed straight for the checkout area.

He was seen grabbing a plastic bag, approaching a cashier and demanding she empty the till into it.
Speaking in English, he claimed he had a firearm in his hoodie pocket.
The cashier was unable to open the till and called her manager over, as reported by Need To Know.
But as the suspect was speaking with him, a customer could be seen watching from behind in Almelo, Netherlands.
He slowly moved up behind the black-clad man and, seizing his moment, grabbed him by the neck.
He pushed him against a metal barrier before the suspect, evidently shaken, broke free and sprinted towards the exit.
The have-a-go hero could be seen chasing him as he fled the store empty-handed.
Police have released the footage in a bid to identify the suspect.
They have appealed for members of the public to come forward with any relevant information, anonymously if preferred.
Police generally warn members of the public not to intervene in situations like these, as it can be dangerous.
