A nursing assistant died on the operating table after paying to have toxic fillers removed from her buttocks.
Paula Andrea Beltrán Sandoval suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest about 70 minutes after the procedure began.
The medical team immediately carried out advanced resuscitation attempts and administered electric shocks.

They reportedly tried resuscitation manoeuvres for over 40 minutes before declaring the victim dead inside the theatre.
Paula, 41, had travelled from her home in New York, US, for the operation after developing health problems linked to her original biopolymers.
The victim had no known pre-existing medical conditions, according to reports.
The surgery took place in a clinic inside the El Tesoro shopping centre in Medellín, Colombia, on 18 June.
The local authorities have opened a formal investigation into the circumstances of Paula’s passing.
Forensic specialists at the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences will conduct a post-mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.
The health authorities are also reviewing the clinic’s records, operating licences, and staff qualifications.
Biopolymer injections for cosmetic purposes are banned under Colombian law, as reported by Need To Know.
Paula, originally from Medellín and working as a nursing assistant in the US, had arranged the procedure weeks earlier.
The operation cost about £8,335 (COP 38 million).
The case remains under active investigation pending the results of the post-mortem.
