A man has found an abandoned farm dating back to the 19th century that has been untouched for 13 years – with everything left inside.

Urban explorer Daniel Sims, 33, visited the site in Leicestershire while filming a video for his YouTube channel BeardedReality.

According to Daniel, the Grade II listed property was last occupied by a woman who lived there until her death aged 104 in 2009.

Ever since, the farm has been left to crumble – with all of her possessions remaining.

Daniel and companions Mick and Chloe entered the property via some open fencing and found the door to be left “wide open”.

Inside, the explorer says he was “blown away” by what he found.

In the video, the trio enter immediately discover stacks of old books and board games left presented neatly on furniture – albeit covered in dust from decades past.

Birthday cards are carefully displayed on the mantelpiece, addressed to a Mrs Davies and congratulating her on turning 104.

Meanwhile in the kitchen, tins of fruit, potatoes, tea and HP sauce are left to rot.

Later, the group find copies of magazines from the 1970s and old cleaning supplies scattered on the floor, as well as some old shotgun shells decaying.

The bedrooms are in a state of disrepair, with old family photographs left alongside old records.

In the garden, children’s toys are left abandoned with weeds growing around them.

“This place was a treasure trove of antiques and forgotten brands, from children’s toys stretching back and very old photos and mementos which were stunning to see,” Daniel told Jam Press.

“On the site, we found old copies of Reader’s Digest and food that showcased brands no longer on the supermarket shelves, and others whose designs had changed over the many years.

“The books and comics were extra special and super old going back to the 50s and 70s, and seeing the decayed shotgun shells was also an amazing find.

“We were very pleased and awestruck at seeing what had been left behind and showing things that show a different moment in time.”
