A skydiver has gone viral with 1.6 million views after posting a clip of himself jumping backwards from a hot air balloon at 6,000ft.
Thrill-seeker Freddy Chase, 30, from Temecula, California, USA, can be seen gripping onto the edge of the basket before letting go and putting his arms behind his head.

“I like how blissful it is. It’s the ultimate freedom”, Freddy told Jam Press.
“Dropping backwards is a little different because you get to see the balloon smaller and smaller instead of the ground getting closer and closer.”
The former bartender – who started the sport in 2017 and has completed over 800 skydives – took on the challenge in September.
He can be seen looking to the camera asking if his friend has the framing in focus.

Freddy then says: “Love you boys. 3, 2, 1”, before winking to the camera and letting go of the wooden board.
The poly-athlete, who also takes part in base jumping and snowboarding, then plummets to the ground with his hands behind his head before opening up his parachute.
Freddy added: “I don’t really get nervous anymore. I have over 800 skydives so it’s pretty relaxing for me now.
“The highest I’ve ever done is 18,000ft.
“All my friends and family love it because it’s different than what most people do in life, exciting, dangerous, and beautiful all in one!
“I’ve never had an accident, I take the sport very seriously.
“The energy you get from it is amazing.”

The stunt has racked up over 1.6 million likes and 57,000 likes on Instagram with fans flooding the comment section with praise.
One impressed follower said: “Not just awesome…totally awesome.”
Another Instagram user added: “It’s the wink for me.”
Someone else said: “This one wins #nonchalant.”
One fan was left so shocked by Freddie’s skydive commented: “My phone dropped looking at this” with another adding “I don’t know how did you do that.” [sic]
