A gothic home compared to “Batman’s house” has gone on the market for £184,000 ($250,000 USD) – and the entire property is painted black.
The two-bedroom house in Lincoln, Illinois, US, has a rather unique design, with both the exterior and interior decorated in dark tones.
The home is surrounded by a black deck, and has two floors with circular roofing, as well as a basement.

Inside, the dark theme continues with black ceilings, walls and flooring – broken up only by white panelling.
Light fixtures and large windows ensure the property isn’t completely ensconced in darkness, while the furniture continues the midnight palette.
Even the kitchen is decked out in shades of black and grey, with matching appliances and cabinetry.
The only rooms with a more traditional colour palette are the bathrooms, where the cabinet, bathtub and toilet are white – albeit surrounded by black walls and ceiling.
In the second bathroom, a light marble floor and matching shower breaks up the swathes of black.
After images of the quirky abode were shared on Facebook, users were quick to compare it to “Batman’s house”, while others called it the result of “if Tim Burton started being an interior decorator”.
Another user said: “I would get some great sleep in that house.”
“Perfect for that vampire in your life,” one person commented.
Someone else said: “So dark looks like the Addams family house.”

However, other viewers called the home “depressing” and were less impressed by the gloomy décor – likening it to a “mausoleum”.
One user commented: “This house scares me.”
“Does Marilyn Manson live here?” another person quipped.
The property is currently on the market with Seth Sells Lincoln for $250,000.
