A fugitive has been arrested after a mum-of-two was found dead inside a fridge nearly a fortnight after vanishing.
Camila Belén Iglesias, 24, had been missing since 2 October, although her family reported her disappearance several days later after failing to contact her.
As the investigation progressed, prosecutors ordered a search of the house where Camila lived with her boyfriend.

Inside a fridge, investigators found human remains covered with a substance believed to be hydrated lime.
The remains were removed from the property in Cruz del Eje, Argentina, and transported for forensic examination at the Córdoba Institute of Forensic Medicine.

During the search, investigators also seized clothing, documents, liquid samples and a destroyed mobile phone.
In the days leading up to the discovery, Camila’s boyfriend, Pablo Ezequiel Gómez, had told his sister-in-law, Romina Iglesias, that he had argued with Camila and did not know where she was.
“On Monday (5 October), Cami and I had an argument, she got angry and went off somewhere, I’ve been messaging her and she isn’t replying,” he wrote.
“If she happens to reply to you, please tell her to come back.”

However, Gómez’s own relatives told investigators he had said, “I’ve really f*cked up,” before going on the run.
According to reports, he had also left a letter indicating where Camila’s body was.
Gómez, 37, was arrested in Malagueño in the early hours of Monday (19 October), as reported by Need To Know.
He had spent the weekend hiding in Villa Carlos Paz before travelling on foot to a house belonging to a friend of his mother.
Police said he offered no resistance and was unarmed.
He has been charged with aggravated homicide and was due to be transferred to a prison in Cruz del Eje.
Romina believes her sister was murdered on 2 October. She said a friend of Camila’s had told her the pair had argued that night.
“This time, she didn’t tell me they’d had a row,” Romina told local media. “She always used to tell me when they’d argued.”
She said of Gómez: “He was very jealous and insecure. He didn’t want anyone going to their house, he didn’t even want Camila to see her own children.”
Camila and Gómez had been a couple for about a year. She leaves behind two children from a previous relationship.
Gómez was reported to police in 2022 by a former partner with whom he has a daughter.
He was convicted in connection with that case, although details of his sentence and how long he spent in custody have not been disclosed.
Investigators are still trying to establish when and how Camila was killed.
