A mum has revealed she thought she had a third nipple after finding breast milk leaking from her armpits.
Lindsay White, 35, had been breastfeeding her first child, Allie, now nine, in April 2012 when she realised what was happening.
“I’d only been breastfeeding for a few weeks before I realized liquid coming from there every time I fed her,” Lindsay told Jam Press.

“At first I was so confused as to where this liquid was coming from and what it was. Then I followed the trail and realized it was coming from my armpit.
“I noticed a huge lump so I pushed on it and tons of milk started squirting out, it was really tender too.
“I was so confused because I had never seen anything like this before.
“So I went to my doctor and she explained to me that our milk line runs all the way up into our armpits called the ‘tail of Spence’ and that it’s normal for some moms to experience leaking milk ducts in their armpits and not to worry.”

The mum-of-three continued to experience the bizarre phenomenon when she breastfed her son Koda, four, and four-month-old daughter Mia.
The milk duct regularly leaks – even in the supermarket – and can become “engorged and incredibly painful”, requiring Lindsay to massage it to help release the milk and pressure.
She posted a clip on TikTok demonstrating what had happened – and that she had initially guessed she had a third nipple.
The video went viral, racking up 623,000 likes and being viewed five million times.
One user commented: “The more and more I see these the less kids I want.”

“THIS is why I’m never having kids (but imma adopt tho),” said another person. [sic]
Someone else added: “I both find this interesting and DEEPLY UNCOMFORTABLE.”
“Hell no I’m not having kids,” agreed another viewer.
Another person commented: “NORMALIZE WOMEN’S ANATOMY SO WE CAN JUST KNOW THINGS LIKE THIS FROM INTERACTING WITH OTHER WOMEN. Thank you.”
Lindsay added: “I personally don’t know any other mother who have experienced this which is why it freaked me out so much when it first happened – and also the reason why I posted about it on TikTok.
“I realized no I hadn’t seen anyone talk about this before. So even though it was embarrassing, I knew I needed to talk about it so other moms who this has happened to can be like, ‘hey! that happened to me too’ so they know they’re not alone.”
