A Russian-made missile believed to be one of the fastest in the world has been tested out by the Indian Navy this weekend.
Video footage shows a naval ship firing the prototype of the BrahMos cruise missile into the air, where it explodes within seconds.
BrahMos is a supersonic cruise missile being developed by India and Russia.

It can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or from land platforms.
The joint venture began in 2001, with this particular cruise missile expected to be completed by 2024.
The test, which happened at the weekend (5 March), took place nine days after Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine.
India has long-standing close ties with Russia and last week abstained from a United Nations vote to condemn the war in Ukraine.

The Indian Navy also tweeted about the launch, writing: “Long range precision strike capability of Adv version of #BrahMos missile successfully validated.
“Pin point destruction of tgt demonstrated combat & mission readiness of frontline platforms.
“Yet another shot in the arm for #AatmaNirbharBharat #IndianNavy #CombatReady & #Credible.” [sic]

One social media user said: “Big congratulations.”
A second person wrote: “Game changer Missile. Jai Ho,” followed by three Indian flags emojis. [sic]
“Great news,” added a third user, while someone else wrote “awesome”.
A fourth Twitter user commented: “Great! This is need of the hour. Survival of the fittest is the Mantra in the present day world.
“We have to fight our own battle. It’s proved. DRDO & Indian Navy. Congratulations.”
