This is the shocking moment a stubborn child dangled precariously from the fifth floor window of a building in an apparent protest after his mother refused to take him shopping.
The boy, who is believed to be between seven and eight years old, was reportedly fuming when his mum said no to taking him to the market in Gopalganj town, Bihar, east India yesterday (9 March).
To show just how upset he was, the child appears to have climbed out of the window of the fifth floor hostel room they were staying in.
In a video taken from the street below, he can be seen dangling dangerously, clinging on by his fingertips while adults inside try to rescue him.
On the street, onlookers shout in horror as they watch the child swaying in the wind.
Eventually, the boy was rescued and appears to have been uninjured in the incident.
