A man has captured hearts on the internet after sharing his unlikely friendship with an animal that he rescued from certain death.
Facundo Aguilera, 21, a student from Argentina, has shot to viral fame after sharing the adventures with his unique pet: a cow.
Clota was discovered by his family in 2012 as they were travelling home and saw the calf, severely injured and lying on the side of the road.
They decided to transport her to their farm to care for her until her rightful owner came forward.
However, no one ever did and the family were left with two options: put her down or get her the veterinary help she needed, and take her in for good.
The answer was obvious.
“We reported the situation to the police but nobody claimed to be her owner,” Facundo told Jam Press.
“There were two options: kill her so that she doesn’t suffer or take care of her until the owner appears.
“We took care of her and brought her to the vet, where she got better each day.
“Since [she] was only a few months old, we had to give her milk everyday, as well as extra love and care.
“She got so spoiled, too.”
A decade later, Facundo says the cow is his “best friend.”
Wanting to share their inseparable bond with the world, the 21-year-old has taken to TikTok to share tidbits of his and Clota’s life together.
The dynamic duo have 682,000 followers already and recently went viral in a video that has racked up 11.9 million views and over two million likes.
“Tell me you have a cow that acts like a dog, without telling me you have a cow that acts like a dog – I’ll go first,” Facundo says.
He proceeds to call for Clota, who bounds over with excitement and receives an affectionate stroke.
Social media users have fallen in love with the hoofed mammal.
“That’s beautiful,” one viewer commented.
Another person added: “Oh how beautiful.”
“I wish my poodle was like that,” someone else wrote.
One viewer said: “How pretty.”
“No friend, I want one,” another person added.
Facundo added: “I was so surprised to get a reaction from not only everyone in Argentina, but different parts of the world.
“I’m so happy that we can make people smile during this rough time.”
