A dad-turned-detective has left Facebook users in stitches after revealing how he tracked down a cheeky neighbour who had dumped bags of rubbish in his garden – including a poo-filled nappy.
Josh Hooper, 26, from Keynsham, Bristol, was shocked to find piles of bin bags in the skip outside his home, which he is currently renovating.
Unhappy with the unwelcome addition, and needing the space for building materials and debris, the dad-of-one decided to try and track down the phantom fly-tipper.

He rifled through the bin bags and found a hoard of unpleasant items including an unwrapped, poo-filled nappy.
Nestled among the rubbish, however, was a piece of damning evidence – something marked with an address just two streets away.
“I was annoyed because money is tight while we renovate our house – we don’t need to be paying to get rid of someone else’s rubbish too,” Josh, who works as a builder, told NeedToKnow.online.
“There were dirty nappies and all sorts in the bags. I saw a pharmacy bag with a name and address on and realised they only lived a couple of roads away.
“I decided to do them a favour and drop it off on my way home that day, putting the bags neatly in their garden.”
Josh shared the story on a Facebook local group, writing: “Big thanks to the person who dumped bags of rubbish on our skip. Even bigger thanks for leaving your address on there. It’s been returned safely.”
The post racked up nearly 600 likes, with locals left in stitches at the tale.

One person said: “Gutted it happened to you, but what joy of joys to know you could return it! Best post on this page this year.”
“Well done that’s what they deserve,” another user commented.
Someone else said: “Well done, person who did it seems to think they can get away with anything.”
“Brilliant that will teach them,” added another viewer.
Another person said: “Well played.”
“Karma,” added someone else.

Another local said: “This has made my day!”
Shockingly, after sharing the post Josh was contacted by another neighbour, who said three more houses on the street were having the same issue – leading him to believe the suspect is a serial fly-tipper.
