A bodybuilder has finally achieved his goal of becoming a “fully modified athlete” after getting an array of tattoos and extreme procedures – but the process almost killed him.
Karan, 32, better known by his nickname ‘Tattoographer Karan’, from Delhi, recently made headlines as the first man in India to have his eyeballs fully tattooed – but he hasn’t stopped there.
The tattoo fan has achieved his dream of having a “full body inking” and also revealed how he’d pierced himself more than 150 times on different parts of his body – including splitting his own tongue.
“I got two silicone implants on my forehead to get a sculpted appearance that would add a different dimension to my face,” Karan said.
“First of all, the area was opened up and silicone implants were [placed under the skin].
“During that process, my blood pressure and heartbeat went really low and I was about to die. But with God’s grace, I was revived.”
He says his favourite tattoo is an eye made on his torso, and he also has his nipples and genitals pierced.
Karan carried out a number of his modifications himself.
Sharing his most recent transformation with his 10,000 followers on Instagram (@tattoographer), Karan posed in his boxers, and his tattooscertainly get tongues wagging.
“Yes you are a masterpiece!” commented one user.
“You are really a great piece of art.” added another user.
“Indian Super man,” said another user.
In another photograph, the athlete showed off his scarification wounds, and social media users where not quite as sure.
“Sir what have you done,” said one user.
“You are totally crazy bro..,” said another user.
Karan said: “Despite having so many tattoos, I just have one tattooconnected from front to back.
“I was very determined in my mind that even if the world hates me or boycotts me, I will go ahead with my dream and that is exactly what I did.”
