A mum has revealed she found what appear to be ‘faces’ lurking on her daughter’s baby monitor – leaving Facebook users terrified.
Taylor Buist, 22, a teacher from Grand Rapids, Michigan, US, was innocently checking on her sleeping one-year-old, Adalaiyah, when she made the horrifying discovery.
To the left of her sleeping baby, Taylor spotted what she believes to be a ‘face’ staring at her daughter.
She snapped a picture of the monitor, circling the area.
In a second picture, she claims to see two more ‘faces’ – one just centimetres from Adalaiyah near her ear, and another to the right of the sleeping child.
Sharing the haunting find on Facebook, Taylor said: “Man the longer I stare the more creepy it gets.”
Viewers were left terrified by the apparent ghostly presences.
One person said: “I could not use baby monitors for this reason and also the possibility of hearing voices.”
“I refused to get a baby monitor for our baby ONLY because I didn’t want to get creeped out. I can’t imagine how scared I’d be if I saw that on the cam,” another user commented.
Someone else added: “I was like ‘what am I looking fo—oh.’ literally looks like a whole face, nose and all!” [sic]
“I don’t like this now I’m gonna be scared when I go to bed,” another viewer said.
One person joked: That is pretty terrifying, which is why I’m considering a vasectomy.”
“Never had a baby camera for this exact reason!! Too creepy,” another user agreed.
Another viewer commented: “The first image is terrifying. Sorry to say, but I’d be running from the house sans baby.”
“Look on the very far left … There’s like a woman’s face staring in at the baby,” said someone else.
However, other viewers weren’t quite so convinced.
One person said: “If you hadn’t put the circles they wouldn’t look like faces to anyone else. I understand you can see them but I assure you they’re not there. They’re only there because you’re looking for them.”
“I don’t see a thing within a few moments. I mean…maybe stop staring & forcing your mind to see things?! Hahaha oh humans,” commented another critic.
Someone else added: “My eyesight must be acting up, I just can’t see them.”
“U just paranoid but they do look like faces, just the shape tho it doesnt mean anything,” said another user. [sic]
“Looks like Donald Trump,” another person added.
Thankfully, Taylor is no longer quite so convinced that paranormal activity was to blame, and believes it was all down to the type of monitor she was using.
“Sometimes the cheap baby monitor makes it seem like you can see things that aren’t there,” Taylor told NeedToKnow.online.
“It’s just the cheap quality but that doesn’t stop me from getting creeped out every time I see weird things on it.”
