Fit gran, 70, mistaken for DAUGHTER’S age reveals key to youthful looks A 70-year-old grandmother revealed she has been mistaken for being the same age as her daughter – and shared the key to her youthful looks. Sandra Maria Cardoso and daughter Soraia Cardoso, 49, may have 29 years between them, but both have maintained an incredibly fresh-faced appearance. The mother-daughter duo, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, place a strong emphasis on looking after their bodies – and the results speak for themselves, with Sandra even being told she looks the same age as her daughter. “When I was younger they said we looked like sisters,” she told NeedToKnow.online. “I have a young mind, and therefore I like to be in good shape with my body. “I've always gone to the gym and taken supplements like vitamin D, omega 3 and vitamin C. I go to the gym Monday-Friday to do weight training, stretching and aerobics. “I've been taking care of my body's skin with good hydrating creams and I also do lymphatic drainage and modelling massage. “I do get attention from men and have received compliments from younger men. “As for the secret of keeping myself younger, I believe that [we need to] have an open mind for the new and we have to love ourselves.” It’s a mindset she has passed on to her daughter, who also works out three times a week and looks after her body with twice-weekly massages. Sandra has also been complimented for her youthful appearance – something she maintains with a meticulous routine. She said: “I started taking care of my face when I was young with skin cleansing and after the age of 40 I started with creams. “After 47 I started with Botox, biostimulator and threads. I am currently doing acroma laser for melasma whitening and using good creams. “I always look to professionals with how to take care of me in every way, because when

It’s a mindset she has passed on to her daughter, who also works out three times a week and looks after her body with twice-weekly massages.

“I always look to professionals with how to take care of me in every way, because when we take care of our health, the result naturally reflects.

“The secret is to be balanced with the mind, spirit and body. I try to take care of myself to grow old beautiful and healthy.

“My mother has always been an inspiration to me, as I grew up watching her take care of herself. She always encouraged me to take care of myself.”

As well as keeping on top of their health and fitness, the pair recently decided to undergo a procedure to smooth their skin of cellulite, called GoldIncision – a treatment that combines filling and detachment of the fibrous septum for stimulation of collagen and recovery of depressions in the skin.

It was something that had been bothering Soraia in particular.

She said: “I was embarrassed when I put on a bikini. When going to the beach, I would ask someone to go to the sea to fill a bucket of water for me to cool off alone in the sand.

“I didn’t wear certain clothes because they marked me. My self-esteem was down. I always felt uncomfortable when I looked in the mirror.

“My husband said everything was fine, and I knew he was helping me, but I also felt ashamed because of my cellulite.”

She encouraged her mum, who also had cellulite, to undergo the procedure too and they are “delighted” with the results.

The pair have had such a confidence boost that they enjoyed a day at the beach in bikinis, showing off the results.

They are no stranger to procedures, having both previously had Botox and liposuction.

Soraia added: “I think we must take care of our mental, physical, and aesthetic health because life flows lighter and more balanced.

“A person with low self-esteem misses out on the opportunity for a full life.
