Story from Jam Press (Camouflaged Snakes) Pictured: The picture of three camouflaged snakes in the water. Picture of camouflaged snakes baffles Facebook users – can YOU spot them? A trio of camouflaged snakes has left Facebook users baffled and questioning their vision after a picture of them was shared – and it’s almost impossible to spot them. The snap shows what appears to be a shallow area of a lake, where rocks, twigs, and leaves can be seen – but hidden amongst this are some slippery water reptiles. Ben Morgan, 64, took the picture last week (11 May) at a 35 acre lake in Cordova, Tennessee, before challenging Facebook users to locate all the snakes in the image. “I was just out finishing my morning run at the time,” Ben, a business owner, told NeedToKnow.co.uk “I spotted them after looking closely into the lake, and decided to snap a pic. “When they’re in the water, they can be hard to spot, but I was fortunate that a couple were only partially submerged. “I think I have an eye for them, having grown up around lakes and rivers in the area.” Hundreds of Facebook users took to the comments section to share their guesses, with the majority unable to locate all three reptiles. Linda said: “Too many!” Beverly joked: “Four? What kinds are these snakes, I’ll be relocating and need to know.” “I see four but I thought the experts claim snakes don't congregate,” added Keith. “I only see one… I suck, the water snake that’s half way in his little hidey hole,” said Jennifer. Water snakes just out enjoying the weather.” Brian said: “I see 4 harmless water snakes.” Arthur joked: 'Drop a rock and count, just saying.” Julie said: “I saw two, I might be going to the ER, I didn’t see the others.” Joanne added: “I think I see at least five.” Andy guessed: “One, looks like venomous, but I am always wrong!” Keila commented: “I only see two somebody hel

“I think I have an eye for them, having grown up around lakes and rivers in the area.”

Hundreds of Facebook users took to the comments section to share their guesses, with the majority unable to locate all three reptiles.

Linda said: “Too many!”

Beverly joked: “Four? What kinds are these snakes, I’ll be relocating and need to know.”

“I see four but I thought the experts claim snakes don’t congregate,” added Keith.

“I only see one… I suck, the water snake that’s half way in his little hidey hole,” said Jennifer. [sic]

Kelly commented: “I see tornadoes! Water snakes just out enjoying the weather.”

Brian said: “I see 4 harmless water snakes.”

Arthur joked: ‘Drop a rock and count, just saying.”

Julie said: “I saw two, I might be going to the ER, I didn’t see the others.”

Joanne added: “I think I see at least five.”

Andy guessed: “One, looks like venomous, but I am always wrong!”

Keila commented: “I only see two somebody help me.’

“I see three snakes, possibly a frog,” said Lydia.

“Enough to make me wet myself… and not with creek water,” quipped Joy.

“I see just three, two water snakes, and the head of a third,” commented Ginger.

The trio have been identified as non-venomous, common water snakes, called nerodia sipedons.

Ben confirmed in the comments that there are three snakes, located around some rocks.

One can be seen popping their head out of the rock at the back, another can be spotted with his head, and some of his body out of a rock in front.

While the last one seems smaller, and is coming out between the two rocks at the front of the picture.

Ben added: “As our home is located adjacent to this lake, we have seen a variety of snakes over the years.

“In the springtime, they are usually out sunning early in the morning.

“I have seen water snakes before, but never more than one at a time.”
