A fisherman has shared a shocking picture of his latest find – a “dragon” fish.
Roman Fedortsov, a deep-sea fisherman working on a trawler in Murmansk in the northwest part of Russia, has devoted his life to searching for creatures unknown.
He spends months of his life at sea, much to the delight of his 650,000 followers on Instagram (@rfedortsov_official_account), where he often shares snaps of frightening looking creatures from the depths he’s found.
His latest catch has been likened to a dragon thanks to its bizarre look, with bright yellow eyes, a long body and spikey fins.
He captioned the post: “Real deep sea creature.
“Deep sea eyes reflect light well.”
The post garnered 5,000 likes on Instagram, where fans were baffled.
One user asked: “Wow what a fish.”
“Eye is a diamond,” another user said.
Someone else wanted to know: “Do you eat these things??? Do they taste different from regular fish that don’t go down that deep.”
“They look like dragon scales,” another user commented.
Others described it as “freaky” and “creepy”.
