Shocking CCTV footage of four armed terrorists storming a concert hall and opening fire on terrified crowds has been released for the first time.
Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has published the previously unseen footage from the Crocus City Hall massacre, which left 151 people dead and hundreds more injured.
The attack took place on 22 March 2024 at around 8pm local time, shortly before a concert by Russian rock band Picnic was due to begin.

One clip shows four men carrying assault rifles walking down a corridor inside the venue.
Another captures panicked concertgoers fleeing the auditorium or hiding behind seats as gunfire rings out, before a fire breaks out.
A third clip shows the same terrifying scenes from a different angle.
The footage was released on Wednesday (14 October), accompanied by an FSB statement relating to a Supreme Court ruling that designated a religious community known as the Community of Followers of Batall-Khadzhi Belkhoroev as a terrorist organisation.
In its statement, the court said: “The court established that the organisation’s aims and activities were directed at promoting, justifying and supporting terrorism.”
Russia’s Investigative Committee has alleged that members of the community were involved in the Crocus City Hall attack, as well as the 2009 bombing of the Nevsky Express train.
Previous reconstructions of the massacre had relied on footage filmed by eyewitnesses and recordings from cameras outside the building.
The attack was one of the deadliest terrorist atrocities in modern Russian history, as reported by Need To Know.
A total of 151 people, including six children, were reportedly killed, while another 609 were injured.
The Islamic State terror group claimed responsibility for the massacre.
In the aftermath, Russian authorities arrested suspects linked to the attack, while investigators examined possible connections to other individuals and organisations.
In March 2026, a Russian military court sentenced all 19 defendants in the case, with 15 handed life sentences and the other four jailed for between 19 years and 22 years and six months.
A separate investigation into six other suspects, including two alleged organisers, was still ongoing, with authorities seeking to establish their whereabouts.
