A maths teacher has been left in stitches after a student gave him a hoodie covered in quotes from his lessons.
The year 11 student had been writing the hilarious one-liners for nine months – the whole academic year.
She gave the teacher, Jason Steele the jumper as an end-of-year leavers gift.
On the front of the grey hoodie it reads: “Mr.Steele once said…”
The back has a printed list of phrases and jokes the maths teacher said in front of his class.
The quotes include: “If I could say a swear word, I would.
”Why are you packing up, we still have five minutes left.
”Quadratics are like my face, symmetrical.
”I might actually teach you something today.”
Locals quickly praised the student for the gift.
Sally Baines said: “Oh wow, this is such a thoughtful gift!
”I love this, how lucky are your students to have someone like you teaching them,” said another, called Sarah.
Jessica Winter said: “That is so thoughtful.
”You have clearly made an impression on this student which is testament to the teacher you must be.”
Mr.Steele who teaches at Penistone Grammar School, in Penistone, near Barnsley said: “Got gifted a hoodie from a Year 11 today.” (sic)
”Can’t believe the thought that has gone into it.
”Apparently writing down quotes since 12 September.”
