A lovestruck man has left the internet shocked after inviting his girlfriend to watch the Barbie movie with a bunch of roses so big it had to be delivered by crane.
Like a scene from Romeo and Juliet, the huge bouquet can be seen being lifted up to the woman’s first-floor balcony.
The Romeo in question, Abel Cortez, asked the apple of his eye: “Do you want to go see Barbie with me?”
The lucky lady, not named, happily accepted.
Abel bought the roses from Las Rosas Florist and hired the crane from Apside Cranes, both in Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico.
He has yet to share an update on how the date night went.
However, many internet users were left impressed by the man’s monumental efforts.
“Wooow. It must be very nice to receive a gesture like that,” said one person.
Someone else added: “I must be doing something wrong…”
Estrella wrote: “Wow, very beautiful.”
However, Cortez’s post also attracted some cynical comments.
Elba said: “The flowers are gonna wither anyway!”
Beto added: “I think she said ‘no’.”
Fabi said: “They’re going to split up and the roses are going to wilt. Bye.”
Barbie smashed all box office expectations during its first week of release, even outstripping Christopher Nolan’s historical drama Oppenheimer.
