A chef has gone viral horrifying TikTok users after using a brick taken from the side of a road to cook a gourmet dish.
Danny Kim, a content creator, has hit the headlines in the past for challenging chefs to re-create meals from takeaways.
This time, the 26-year-old has challenged a chef to cook a dish using an old brick.

In a video which garnered 700,000 views and 90,000 likes on the app, Danny plucks a red brick from a patch of greenery on the side of a road.
He meets up with a chef pal and challenges him to make a dish using it – which the chef eagerly accepts, choosing chicken as his ingredient.
He says: “The first thing you need to make chicken under a brick obviously is the brick, then you need the chicken.”
The unnamed chef starts carving the chicken, separating drumsticks and using half of the carcass.
He seasons the meat with salt, pepper and lemon and leaves it to marinate overnight.
For the main piece, he sears it before finally utilising the brick – using it to push the breast down into the frying pan, allowing it to flatten and cook.
With the brick remaining on top to weight it down, he puts the chicken into the oven.
To complement the meat dish, he seasons some broccoli and grills it, plus a caper shallot butter and potatoes.
He removes the brick for the final five minutes of cooking time, showing the chicken looking flat and perfectly cooked.

Danny and the chef sample the dish, with Danny saying: “Wow…the best chicken I’ve ever had.”
The chef responds: “It’s because of the brick.”
The finished dish looks mouth-wateringly good – but TikTokers weren’t convinced by the bizarre cooking method.
One user commented: “Please tell me y’all washed the brick?”
“Can’t forget the brick, nevah nevah nevah,” said another follower. [sic]
Someone else said: “Can he wash the brick at least?”
“Step 1 clean the brick,” another user begged.
Someone else added: “If you didn’t wash the brick, I’m going to cry.”
“Sanitary,” another viewer joked.
“Perfectly doable without the brick,” said another critic.
“I feel like the brick was not necessary,” agreed someone else.

But other viewers were more on board with the unique cooking method – and the finished dish.
One fan said: “Legendary dish from a legendary chef.”
“I want this,” said another follower.
Someone else added: “Looks amazing.”
