A mum has been hailed a ‘hero’ online after creating hearing aids for her son’s toy doll.
Linnette Taylor, also known by her nickname, Wendy, created the aid for her child, Dayvon Shivers Junior, after discovering she couldn’t find anything similar online or in stores.

Wanting to make her son, who is also called Deej, feel included, the 31-year-old decided to go ahead and make one herself.
The beautiful story has racked up over 867,000 likes on Instagram, with fellow parents praising the mum for her actions.
“Deej was born hearing [but] he became sick as in infant and had fluid behind his ears which caused nerve damage,” Linnette, a nail technician from New York, US, told http://NeedToKnow.co.uk

“He has been sporting hearing aids since he was three years old.
“I was shopping around for toys with hearing aids and couldn’t find any
“I always want my son to feel included and companies do not make toys that look like him… so I make them for him.”
Linnette utilised her skills as a nail technician to make the product for the Toy Story doll in under an hour.
She said: “I made the toy’s hearing aids with my nail products.
“It usually takes around 20 minutes depending on the size of the toy.
“And now, my son is always excited and loves to show his toys off.”
Linnette originally shared clips of her creating Woody’s hearing aid to her Instagram story, (@wendysway_).
In a video, the mum can be seen filling the doll’s ear with clear glue.
Once close to dry, she then peels it out so the glue is still soft and paints on the hearing aid with nail polish.

In the next clip, Woody can be seen with blue and white hearing aids, which match her son’s.
In the final video, Deej can be seen holding Woody, smiling and laughing.
