Julia Candela, 22, was travelling Thailand when she decided she’d go and visit a sanctuary. The medicine student found one in Chiang Mai, and made her way there for the day. But after approaching a herd of elephants to snap a few selfies, one of the beasts decided to have a bit of fun – which was captured in a video that has gone viral on TikTok, garnering 10 million views and over a million likes. In the clip, Julia can be seen walking up to the fence where elephants are kept for people to feed them and take pictures. As she gets there, two elephants wrap their trunks around her waist – the perfect opportunity for a cuddle and a snap. But instead, the playful twosome team up to lift her up and toss her to the side, where she lands abruptly on the ground. Julia captioned the post: “I didn't want to upload it but you have to laugh at yourself.” Over 4,000 people commented on the hilarious display. Karen joked: “Thank you, next.” Someone else commented: “ICONIC.” Briana wrote: “NEXT.” Yulian added: “A unique experience with elephants.” “The elephant: next one please,” joked Jaqueline. “He just wanted to push her the other way! He is innocent, it was not his intention,” said Mimi. “Full experience,” wrote someone else. ENDS EDITOR’S NOTE: Comments have been translated.
