England’s secret for sinking Italy and qualifying for Euro 2024 was playing BATTLESHIPS.
The Three Lions beat the Azzurri 3-1 at Wembley with two goals from Harry Kane and one from Marcus Rashford.
But they prepared for the crunch qualifier by playing the classic kids game.
James Maddison and Trent Alexander-Arnold were among the squad members to play.

The Liverpool star looked in a focused mood as he took on the Tottenham midfielder.
They also had another favourite children’s game Connect 4 to play to keep them occupied.
England were based at St George’s Park ahead of the friendly with Australia on Friday (13 Oct) which they won 1-0.
Gareth Southgate’s men then relocated to Tottenham Hotspur Training Ground.

It was closer to the national stadium for the Italy match on Tuesday (17 Oct).
Liam MacDonald branded Maddison: “Battleships goat.”
Dave Ransome cheekily made light of Liverpool wanting their game with Spurs replayed after the Luis Diaz VAR blunder.
He said: “Did Trent want a replay after the Battleships?”
Reds fan Manoj Mhaske added: “Trent was scared.”
Another England follower said: “The most fun football camp in the world.”
