A man has shared eerie pictures of an abandoned drug store that appears seemingly untouched – with medicine and prescriptions left behind from 1970.
Ben James, 32, a professional urban explorer, visited the pharmacy after locating the site through doing online research.
Abandoned in 1971, he found the building still stocked up with drug containers and a ledger.
“There was also the ledger book was from 1970 and it was an amazing find,” Ben told http://NeedToKnow.co.uk
“Literally, [like] a hidden time capsule or a private museum, it even had a counter where it looked like it would sell sodas also, a real step back in time.
“It was so nostalgic and crazy to think how busy it would have been at one time and now it just sits in silence, seemingly forevermore.”
Ben has also shared photos that he took of the drug store.
In one image, two huge glass jars can be seen filled with hundreds of different medication tables, as well as shelves stocked with mouthwash and throat pastilles.
Another snap shows glass bottles of liquid medications, as well as round containers of ‘chemicals’.
A third photo displays the inventory with names, amounts and signatures.
Other photos show more medicine, and the drug store bar with an old Pepsi tap visible.
