A heartbroken woman has fallen head over heels in love with an Uber driver’s son after venting about her love life in his cab.
Lorrany Galdino was taking a taxi to a tattoo parlour with her pal when they were talking about her recent split with her ex-boyfriend.
The 18-year-old Brazilian explained: “I already set a date for my tattoo, which was just after my ex returned from a trip.
“But as we were no longer together, I brought it forward.
“We ordered an app car to go to the tattoo studio and I started to vent, talking about the end of our relationship, and I began to cry.
“At one point, my friend turned to the driver and asked what he thought of the situation.”
Driver Gilberto Oliveira Costa, 50, told them that her ex-boyfriend sounded like an “a*sehole”.
Lorrany continued: “He started chatting with us about the subject and that his son had recently gone through a similar situation, giving us a brief history of his love life.”
In the middle of the conversation, the driver decided to show Lorrany a photo of his son, Felipe, 21.
She said: “Like every father, he wanted to show his son to me and when I saw him I thought ‘My God, what a beautiful thing.
“I asked if he had a girlfriend.
“He mentioned that Felipe had started dating a girl, but he didn’t know if it was going anywhere.
“So he shared his son’s Instagram profile with me and I started to follow him.”
Later, Felipe slid into Lorrany’s direct messages and asked what his dad had been saying.
Lorrany explained: “He said he knew his father had been talking about him to me, and I replied that his dad had done a really good advertising job.”
The pair continued chatting and then arranged to meet at a local bar in their home country Brazil two days later.
She said: “When we saw each other for the first time, there was a sparkle in both our eyes.
“We talked a lot, enjoyed some drinks, and everything flowed nicely.
“He was very respectful and our first kiss felt perfect, it was surreal.”
Despite the instant connection, Lorrany said she was still coming to terms with her split and decided to keep a distance from Felipe.
She said: “I still had a lot of my ex in me and I needed to get over that breakup.”
However, a short time later the pair continued chatting again and they soon started a romantic relationship.
Lorrany thanked her Uber driver for introducing her to Felipe.
She said: “When I saw his father again, we laughed a lot about the situation.
“The three of us went for ice cream together and we talked about everything that happened.
“When I met his mother, she couldn’t believe how I met her son.”
Lorrany posted a video about how she met Felipe on TikTok where it has gone viral with over 4 million views.
In the clip, she lovingly refers to Gilberto as her “father-in-law”.
