A huge crocodile sparked panic after it appeared on a beach packed with young families.
The seven-foot reptile scurried along the sand as dozens of people were on the shoreline and in the waves.
A man appears to warn several swimmers to get out of the water before throwing a brightly-colored life jacket at the croc to distract it.
One young lad runs for safety just a few metres from the dangerous predator.
The large animal then enters the water for a soak as the 29-second video comes to an end.
Dozens of family members were enjoying an afternoon at La Ropa Beach in Zihuatanejo, northwest of Acapulco in Mexico when the crocodile showed up.
The reptile’s presence sparked panic among beachgoers and a small group were eventually able to chase it away, according to local reports.
The emergency services arrived on the scene to ensure the safety of people in the immediate area.
The authorities confirmed that no one was injured during the crocodile’s surprise beach visit on Friday (10 Nov).
The council announced that they have ordered the installation of a new mesh fence at the beach to prevent future encounters between crocodiles and beach visitors.
The previous fence was recently damaged by heavy storms in the area.
One local said: “The crocodile is calm, but their solution is to throw a life vest at it and provoke it when there’s a kid just in front of it.”

Another said: “The sea is not their natural habitat. They will have to catch it and relocate it so it doesn’t die. How scary for the beachgoers!”
Rosa added: “Crocodiles on beaches?”
Wilson remarked: “How dangerous.”
Alicia said: “Animals are leaving their habitats because humans have invaded theirs.
“Be careful, it’s not safe anywhere in the world right now.”
