An abandoned hotel, with working electricity, has gone viral after an urban explorer discovered it full of mould, with people comparing it to The Last of Us.
Ashley Urbex discovered the 47-bed hotel, located in Hertfordshire.
Despite being allegedly abandoned for over nine years, she found the property to have working electricity, however, the state of the place was shocking.
Sharing her find on TikTok (@ashleyurbex ), the clip quickly garnered over 6m views as she dubbed it “the most disgusting explore ever”.
“I was amazed that every window on the bottom floor of the hotel was open despite it being abandoned for over nine years,” the 26-year-old, from Milton Keynes, told NeedToKnow.co.uk.
“Exploring this hotel was very eerie- such a large location to explore.
“It was thrilling not knowing what remained behind each door.”
After exploring the majority of the site, Ashley came across one room completely covered in mould.
She added: “Parts of the hotel were spotless, hotel beds still made, untouched artwork, even the electricity still worked!
“We were absolutely shocked when we opened one of the hotel rooms, to discover a mattress COVERED in mould, but yet the other rooms suffering little decay.”

Sharing the disgusting find on TikTok, she gained over 233,200 likes and 5,600 comments from shocked viewers.
One person said: “HELP I thought the mold was a comfy bedding.”
Another viewer commented: “not bad for premier Inn.”
“last of us! real life!” said someone else.
Anna wrote: “I thought it was a fluffy blanket.”
