An influencer had her skull filed and her eye colour permanently changed in a drastic makeover.
Daniela Requena explained her extreme transformation to her hundreds of thousands of followers.
Daniela, who is also a reality star, told her fans that since she was a child, she’d wanted light-coloured eyes like her whole family.
She said: “A few years ago, I took it upon myself to research and found a Spanish doctor who was performing this surgery in France.
“The pigment can be chosen from green, blue, and honey, and among these colours, there are options for low, medium, or high intensity.”
Daniela eventually had the procedure done at a clinic in Madrid, Spain, after her eyes were anaesthetised with drops.
The whole procedure lasted 30 to 40 minutes.
She explained: “A few days later, you see things a bit blurry, but you put in a few drops, and you’re good to go. I’m really happy.”
Daniela turned her eyes from brown to blue-green.
The procedure is called keratopigmentation.
It uses a laser to apply a pigment in the cornea through a circular micro-tunnel, which covers the natural darker colour of the eyes.
As if that weren’t enough, Daniela then decided to get a frontoplasty and skull contouring in a bid to reduce her “wide” forehead.
She explained in grisly detail: “You have to cut, peel the skin from the scalp, peel the face as if it were a mask, and file down the bones.”
The op is believed to have set her back up to €22,000 (£19,000).
Daniela said: “I’m aware that I’m privileged. These cosmetic touches don’t make me more of a woman.
“It’s just that the opportunity presented itself, not out of necessity.
“I simply feel better about myself. In this life, before judging and criticising, we all have to do what makes us feel good.”
Daniela, who is from Spain’s Valencia region, was born male and was known as Dani before her sex-change op in 2020.
She has released a book called ‘Mamá, soy mujer’ (Mum, I’m a Woman).
She appeared in the reality show ‘Pesadilla en El Paraíso’ (Nightmare in Paradise), which is based on ‘The Farm’.
She claims to have dated celebrities.
Experts advise against keratopigmentation for cosmetic purposes.
