A British mum with over 800 tattoos who frequently hits the headlines for her extreme appearance has covered up her skin in makeup.
Melissa Sloane from Kidderminster has previously gone viral due to her excessive ink, claiming she adds three designs a week to her skin with her own tattoo gun.
Fed up with being treated differently, the mum recently decided to disguise her tattoos – looking unrecognisable in pics, thanks to layers of foundation.
But the 45-year-old claims her children – and her boyfriend (Luke, 56) – are not fans of her altered appearance.
Apparently, they wouldn’t speak to her until she removed it.
“People think I look better without tattoos but they [the tattoos] aren’t going anywhere,” the mum told NeedToKnow.co.uk.
“[When I tried to hide the ink with makeup] my kids didn’t talk to me all day.
“They didn’t like [the makeup].
“My boyfriend didn’t like it either.”
A mum-of-seven, Melissa has previously been mocked and called “Crayola” with reference to her colourful ink making her look like a crayon.
But she says her children “love” the way she looks, even though they “think I’m crazy”.
Recently, she has taken to wearing makeup more often, hiding some of her most extreme ink as she leaves the house, to avoid stares or comments.
The foundation cover-up takes about 30 minutes to do.
She said: “I do it most of the time now as I love wearing makeup.
“It really depends on my mood.
“I just like being crazy and having fun in my life, I’m not being boring.
“I really liked the look [of the makeup], that’s all that matters.”
Melissa has previously spoken to NeedToKnow.co.uk about how she doesn’t get party invites “because of who I am”.
The mum also claims that her skin has fallen off from ink that doesn’t heal and she has been left with scars.
She added: “I want to enjoy myself and go for a drink at the pub, but they won’t even let me in.
“I’m covered in tattoos, I’ve got 800 in total.
“l get tattoos three times a week, I even do my own tattoos at home.”
“I will never stop having tattoos until the end.”
Although some of her ink has been done by professionals, many were also tattooed by her partner Luke.
