A chilling discovery has stirred social media as a man, Ben Tucci, 67, unveils a frightening ice figure resembling the ‘Grim Reaper’ outside his home, evoking ‘nightmares’ among Facebook users.
This eerie phenomenon, recurring annually, originated two years ago at his residence on Lake Erie in Dunnville, Ontario, Canada.
According to Ben, the figure emerges as water from the lake’s waves spills over the lamp post, freezing and forming these haunting shapes.
Ben expressed, “The image on the lamppost [this year] has more of a ghostly appearance than [the original] Grim Reaper.” Ben told NeedToKnow.co.uk.

“I’m considering nicknaming it ‘The Return of the Grim Reaper’ or ‘Bride of the Grim Reaper,'” Ben mused. “I was thrilled to witness the reappearance of these images this winter. They seem to manifest in one form or another every winter.”
Sharing images of the chilling figure on Facebook, Ben’s followers were astonished by its reappearance, likening it to dementors and Voldemort from the Harry Potter series.

One commenter expressed, “I would have ‘Noped’ right out of there!!”
Another remarked, “Man, that thing puts the eerie in Lake Erie.” Yet another person added, “Tooooo spooky! Yikes!”
“Wow. These are amazing & truly weird,” remarked another observer.

Another individual commented, “Well that’ll give me nightmares.”
“That is absolutely horrifying! Thank you for the nightmare fuel,” concurred another user.

Someone else speculated, “Old ship captain lost at sea.” “I would move far, far away from that lamppost!” exclaimed another viewer.
Reflecting on his initial encounter with the phenomenon in 2022, Ben recounted, “My initial reaction was one of awe. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
On the first formation, I thought this is Jack Frost, Old Man Winter, Father Christmas, or perhaps even the Grim Reaper.
My immediate reaction of the ‘dejected’ looking figure was of an eerie-looking woman or a sea hag of sorts, leaving the property almost as if to be walking away from Jack Frost.”
