An armed cop shrieked in shock at the sight of a quick-footed squirrel while responding to a report of a burglary.
The homeowner heard strange noises inside their house and immediately called the police.
Armed officers arrived at the scene with their guns drawn and at the ready.
The body-cam clip shows one officer carefully entering the property with his firearm raised before noticing the ‘intruder’.

He says: “Oh, it’s right there, it’s a squirrel.”
The cop then goes to confront the troublesome rodent with his gun poised.
He suddenly shrieks in fear as the squirrel runs past his feet.
A wanted poster at the end of the clip reads: “Rocky the squirrel remains at large.
“Approach with extreme caution.”
It happened in Kansas City, Missouri, US.
A Liberty Police Department spokesperson said: “We were dispatched to an intrusion alarm at a local residence.
“Noises could be heard coming from inside of the home.
“Officers entered the house.
“Noises continued.”
One local commented: “LPD – 0, Squirrel – 1.”
