A horrified tourist discovered a human leg with a trainer still attached as he walked his dog down the beach.
The man called the police after he and his pet stumbled upon the skeletal remains yesterday (3 Mar) morning.
A sock and a trainer were still attached to the foot bone.
The type of trainer suggests the severed lower leg belonged to a male victim.

It’s unclear how old he was when he died.
The remains have since been seized by the authorities.
Cops have opened an investigation.
They hope to identify the leg’s owner via DNA testing.
They will also study the missing persons database in a bid to see who the victim could be.
The limb was found on Licinella Beach in Capaccio Paestum, southeast of Naples, Italy.
The unnamed man, who found it, was a German tourist, according to local media.
Officials believe the remains may have been washed up by the rough sea.
The area has seen bad weather in recent days.
