An influencer had to have her nose “removed” after it turned out her “pimple” was actually cancer.
Juliana Vilela’s ordeal began when one day, she noticed a pimple-like bump.
She told local media: “I went to several doctors, including dermatologists and plastic surgeons, but none of them reached a final conclusion.
“Then my mother ran into a friend who had had cancer at the supermarket and this friend recommended some doctors in São Paulo.

“So, we went, but without imagining it could be something serious because, after all, I was feeling fine.”
It was after a second biopsy that medics confirmed she had a sarcoma.

In November and December last year, Juliana – from São Luís, Brazil – had two ops to remove the malignant tumour.
In the process, she had to have part of her nose removed.
She recalled: “I found myself completely shaken psychologically.”
Just days before her wedding to fiancé Caio in early January, she had skin from her forehead grafted onto her nose.

She bought a clip-in fringe made from human hair to cover her scar.
Juliana said: “Today, I’m better in terms of accepting things more, but back then, I felt ugly and tried everything to hide the surgery.
“During the day, I wore a cap, and at night, I wore the fringe.”
She will have another round of reconstructive surgery in April or May.
Part of one of her ribs will be removed and placed in her nose area to give it shape.

She and Caio hope to re-celebrate their marriage with more guests next year.
Juliana, who boasts more than 100,000 social media followers, said: “We want to throw a party for everyone, for everything that happened.

“Our ‘in sickness and in health’ came earlier than expected, but we managed, and we’re handling it.
“It wasn’t how I envisioned it, nor what I wanted, but it was with whom I wanted.”
