A mindless thug lobbed a rock at a police car and smashed a window after it was left parked up in a street.
A horrified onlooker recorded the shocking moment on their mobile phone.
The bald man was seen walking down the road away from the marked Toyota Corolla car.
But he then bent down and picked up the large stone from the gutter.
While clutching a can of drink in his other hand he walked back to the force car with its blue lights flashing.
The man had a brief verbal exchange with a man standing on the other side of the street.
He then hurled the rock at the Great Manchester Police vehicle in Lower Broughton Road, Salford, Gtr Mancs on Monday (18 Mar) morning.
The driver’s side front window was smashed and glass was left over the road.
The officers then returned to the car and found the damage.
One witness said: “No, no, no, no.
“That’s so funny.”
Part of the stone flew up and landed on the roof of the police car.
Local John Booth fumed: “Yeah and the hardworking taxpayer has to pay for window replacement.
“Bone head.”

A second – called Laurie – said: “Very clear video, they will be picking him up shortly.”
Stefan Allen added: “Ahhh Salford.”
Another added: “Pathetic man.”

Cops are investigating the broad daylight criminal damage attack.
