The receptionist found Tatiana lying motionless on the ground and immediately informed the police.
The authorities suspect that the victim may have plunged from the upper floor of a building next to the hotel.
However, it’s currently unclear whether it was an accident or the result of foul play.
Her half-naked body was found in an alleyway between the Hotel Lisboa and the Policentro apartment block in the Panamanian capital, Panama City.
The young woman, who came from Colombia, had moved to Panama for a better life just a few months before her untimely death.
She worked at the hotel as an event organiser.
One friend said on Facebook: “I am going to miss you so much.
“We had 13 years of friendship and so many experiences together.
“We said we were like sisters because that’s how beautiful our friendship was.
“It hurts me that you have left this world so early and in such a way.”
An investigation into Tatiana’s mysterious death is ongoing.
