The group – which has previously asked the public to pay for its court hearing fines and travel – are asking taxpayers to donate £1,000.

But they claim they will only buy second-hand tech with the money.

So far, the eco-activists have raised £330.A spokesperson for Just Stop Oil said a member of their group, Indigo Rumbelow, was arrested yesterday (5 April).

The group claimed police seized the serial protester’s belongings.

Rumbelow, who is a co-founder of Just Stop Oil, was previously arrested in a series of dawn raids in October.

They said: ”[…]… we’re asking supporters to chip in a small amount to buy second-hand tech to keep our movement going.”
