A female footballer has allegedly been murdered by her partner – who killed himself just minutes later.
The couple’s seven-year-old son was reportedly also in the house at the time.
Florencia Guiñazú, who played for Club Atletico Argentino de Mendoza in Argentina, was allegedly strangled to death by her partner Ignacio Agustín Noto, 32.

The tragic incident took place in their home on the afternoon of 6 April.
Before allegedly killing himself in the same room, Ignacio placed a sign on one of the windows that instructed the neighbours: “Call 911, the children are alone.”

Neighbours found the couple’s son playing video games in another room and took him to safety.
He said he called for his parents numerous times but they didn’t respond from inside their closed bedroom.
The police entered the room and found Florencia lying dead on the floor while Ignacio was hanging from the ceiling, according to local reports.
The victim reported her partner to the authorities for violence in November last year.

The prosecutor in charge of the case said it’s likely that she suffered other violent episodes before the reported attack.
They leave behind two children named Milo, 7, and Ámbar, 5.
Their daughter was staying with a relative at the time of the murder.
Florencia’s club said in a statement: “We regret the death of our player.
”We send our condolences to Ámbar and Milo, her children, and her family on behalf of the entire club.”
Other league teams also paid tribute to the murdered sportswoman.
As well as being a professional footballer, Florencia was a model with 25,000 followers on Instagram, as reported by Need To Know.
She was also a qualified tattoo artist and an occupational hygiene and safety technician.
