A teen girl was left with a disfigured face after a man splashed her with a chemical substance in a random attack.
Shocking CCTV footage shows the victim and her attacker, named as Andrei S. By Russian authorities, walking in opposite directions in a residential area.
Shortly after they cross paths, the man turns around and approaches the girl from behind as he unscrews a bottle top.

He then hurls the contents at her face and jogs away as the girl flinches and continues walking in search of help.
The victim said: “He didn’t say a word. I was walking home, talking on the phone.
“Then he splashed something, and it started burning. I screamed at the top of my lungs.
“He just calmly walked away.”
It happened last Wednesday (10 Apr) evening.
The unnamed victim was taken to hospital in Balashikha near Moscow, Russia, with burns to her skin and mucous membranes.
She told local media: “Both my eyes were injured.
“They were injured significantly because a lot of this liquid got in, less got on the skin of my face.”
Speaking on Saturday (13 Apr) she added: “I opened my eyes for the first time. My whole face is covered in burns, and it’s all terribly swollen.”
The caustic substance also landed on her hands in the attack in nearby Monino.
She said: “I have first-degree burns. I’m struggling to read and press the buttons on my phone screen.
“The doctors are doing everything they can, but it’s my face we’re talking about.
“I would be very grateful if some cosmetic clinic could get in touch with me and help me out because the burn area is large.”
The man allegedly attacked a second girl nearby later that evening, as reported on Need to Know.
He ran up to the 16-year-old from behind and splashed the chemical substance on her legs.
She immediately felt a burning sensation, but was relatively lucky.
The clothes she was wearing saved her from severe burns.
And an elderly woman sitting on a nearby bench scared him off before he could douse the teen’s face.
Both teen girls reported their attacker to the police.
A 31-year-old suspect was arrested and remanded into custody.
The plastic bottle he was carrying was seized.
The liquid he used was still unknown at the time of reporting.
The investigation continues.
