A 19-year-old who ‘cries blood’ has left doctors dumbfounded.
The young woman suffers episodes in which she bleeds from her eyes, nose, mouth and ears, according to her mum.
The bleeding comes with headaches and chest pain and sometimes causes her to faint.

Maria Ocilene Soares, the teenager’s mum, says her daughter began experiencing bleeding from her nose, mouth and ears in April 2019.
It would happen spontaneously every three months or so.
But on 1 April this year, she began ‘crying’ blood for the first time, which caused her vision to go black.
Since then, she’s been bleeding from her nose, mouth, ears, and eyes every day.
Maria told local media: “The feeling is just awful.
“I won’t lie, I was even getting used to seeing my daughter bleed from her nose, ears, and mouth, but seeing it from her eyes is heartbreaking.
“It’s terrifying. It’s a feeling of helplessness and sadness. The worst part is not having a diagnosis.”
Her daughter was taken to hospital in Santos, Brazil, on 2 April.
It’s reportedly the third time she’s been hospitalised this year, as reported on Need To Know.
Experts say trauma, various infections or coagulation disorders may be behind her mystery condition.
