A horrified dad accidentally killed his young son while parking his car as the toddler ran to fetch a ball.
Matteo Vidali was rushed to hospital after he was knocked down outside the family home.
The 19-month-old tot died two days later on Tuesday (16 Apr).

Tragically, he was in his father Olaf’s blind spot when he ran out to retrieve the ball, in Dosson di Casier, north of Venice, Italy.
His six-year-old sister watched in horror as Matteo ran into the car’s path.
Olaf and his wife, Laura, rushed their son to A&E in nearby Treviso with severe head trauma.
Nurses resuscitated him for 45 minutes before his heart started beating again, as reported on Need to Know.
He was admitted to the ICU, where he spent two days in critical condition before passing away.
The toddler’s devastated granddad Gabriele Vitali told local media: “My nephew was a little blond angel, now he’s flown to heaven.”
Matteo’s sister is already receiving counselling.
Her shaken mum recalled: “We told her that Matteo became an angel and won’t come back home.”
She added: “We’re shattered, our pain is immense.”
It’s not the first tragedy the family has experienced.
Olaf and Laura lost their first daughter, who died prematurely, and Laura’s father also passed away recently.
The family now awaits authorisation from the Prosecutor’s Office to hold Matteo’s funeral.
