Carol Vorderman has waded into the rainbow lanyard row by showing off her sister’s suitcase strap.
The ex-Countdown star reacted after Esther McVey, minister for common sense, banned them from the civil service.
It was part of a Tory plan to combat the rise of alleged “woke” culture.
Vorderman, 63, joined those joking about the newly announced rule.
Her sibling’s suitcase had a rainbow strap on it, as reported on Need To Know.

She said: “My sister went and bought this strap this morning in support of our fabulous friend.
“Pulling her ‘Woke Hobby Horse’ suitcase through the airport.
“Best get Border Force onto it Esther McVey.
“Or we’ll be seen as a tolerant country and that will never do.”
Ian Oliver said: “LGBTQ lanyards are a bullying protection racket.”
Another fan added: “Why it’s c*ap.”

A third said: “Next you’ll be claiming to have a gender-neutral toilet in your house.
“Missing the point by miles.”

A fourth added: “Political messaging aside, it’s a really helpful way to find your suitcase, especially on an airport luggage carousel.”
