Emergency medics rushed Renso, 26, and the young man who was in the front passenger seat to hospital.
The young woman in the back seat was taken to A&E with minor injuries and discharged shortly after.
The crash happened on Saturday (11 May) evening.
Renso died in hospital in Padua, Italy, on Tuesday (14 May).
Her leg injury had led to excessive blood loss, causing her brain activity to stop.
Her heartbroken boyfriend, Demis Quagliato said: “We were supposed to meet up with some friends to have pizza outdoors, as we did regularly.
“We temporarily parted ways. She was going to pick up the pizzas in the car with our two friends, and I would join them later.
“We never spoke again.”
Renso lived in San Giovanni Lupatoto in Verona as reported on Need To Know.
Her hospitalised friend’s condition was reported to be critical but not life-threatening.
Renso boasted more than 19,000 Instagram followers, with whom she shared her passion for motor racing.
She described herself in her bio as “the racing driver with the orange hair” and said her goal was “to create an all-female team”.
Quagliato said: “Valentina wasn’t a reckless girl. She always had her head on her shoulders.
“She knew how to drive cars, and she never did it just for fun.”
He added: “She was generous, she couldn’t stop helping others, dedicating herself to them when they needed it.
“If she could, she would have given herself completely to the people she loved.”
