Emergency medics arrived at the force headquarters last Thursday (16 May) afternoon.
But there was nothing they could do to save Sofia Stefani.

Her former superior, 63-year-old Giampiero Gualandi, was arrested on suspicion of voluntary manslaughter.
When he was arrested, he reportedly said: “It was an accident, I was cleaning my gun and a shot went off.
“She was sitting in front of me and I hit her in the face.”
However, when questioned later on, he exercised his right to remain silent.
It is not clear why Stefani was meeting the serving officer at her former workplace in Anzola dell’Emilia, Italy.
The two were alone in a room at the time, but there were two other officers in the building.
Stefani leaves behind a boyfriend.
Gualandi was a commander in the force when the victim worked there last year, as reported on Need To Know.
Stefani was passionate about artistic roller skating and volunteered at a soup kitchen in Bologna.
She was also involved with the Democratic Party.
Local politicians from the party and local media have speculated that Stefani’s death may have been a femicide or a crime of passion.
Gualandi’s service pistol has been seized as the investigation continues.
