he glasses feature a lens above the frame that scans the surroundings, converting this data into spatial audio feedback.

Ivar Illing, Product Manager at Sensotec, praised the impact of the technology: “Experiencing NIIRA for the first time was truly amazing.

This technology has the potential to transform how blind and visually impaired individuals interact with their surroundings.”

Antonio Quesada, Founder and CEO of Eyesynth, emphasized the user-centric development process: “After extensive research and user testing, we have developed the NIIRA glasses to translate the visual world into intuitive, pleasant, and easily understandable audio cues, providing a high-quality, user-friendly mobility solution.”

Key Features of NIIRA

  • 3D Perception: Enables users to discern shapes, spaces, and object depth with precision.
  • Natural Sound Language: Utilizes a non-verbal, easy-to-learn sound language for seamless communication.
  • Bone Conduction Audio: Keeps ears free to maintain environmental awareness while delivering audio cues.
