Victoria Beckham, under the constant pressures of public scrutiny and her own self-imposed standards, maintains a strict discipline regarding her diet to stay in shape.
The fashion designer, who celebrated her 50th birthday in April, candidly discussed her commitment to maintaining her appearance in an interview with Grazia.

She emphasized that her efforts are driven by external pressures and her personal character, stating, “This is how I look. I’m going to make the best of it. I’m very disciplined with the way that I eat, the way that I work out and the way I work. That’s just who I am.”
In the same profile, the former Spice Girl revealed that she is no longer as affected by comments about her weight as she once was, and she admitted to enjoying a good amount of wine.
“I do like to have a drink, and I’m not going to be one of these, ‘Ah, there are too many calories in a glass of wine’ types,” she said. “Whatever. Life’s too short. Let’s have a nice time.”
Victoria and her husband, David Beckham, share four children: daughter Harper, 12, and sons Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 19. Reflecting on her early days of motherhood, Victoria recounted the harsh public criticism she faced after Brooklyn’s birth in 1999.
“My first outing was on the front page of the newspaper, with arrows pointing to where I needed to lose weight,” she recalled. “Those things can affect how you feel and conduct yourself.”
Despite these challenges, Victoria has found a balance between enjoying life and maintaining her disciplined lifestyle. “I have found my own balance between wanting to have fun and being disciplined about eating healthily and working out. … I just know what works for me.”
Victoria’s commitment to her health has been a subject of curiosity for many. In 2019, she told the Daily Telegraph that she consumes four avocados a day to keep her skin radiant. However, the most striking insight into her dietary habits came from David Beckham.
In a December 2023 episode of ‘Ruthie’s Table 4,’ he shared that his wife has adhered to the same diet for the past 25 years, consisting primarily of grilled fish and steamed vegetables. “Since I met her she only eats grilled fish [and] steamed vegetables. She will very rarely deviate from that,” David said.
He also recounted a rare exception to her strict diet. “The only time she’s probably ever shared something that’s been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing. It was one of my favorite evenings.”
When asked what the meal was, David couldn’t recall but noted that she hasn’t eaten it since.
