A woman is searching for her sister 29 years after being told she died at birth.
Sara Gojić, 27, claims her sibling was allegedly “abducted alive” from her mother and given up for adoption.
The child was born on 23 September 1995.
Everything appeared normal at first but Sara’s mother was then reportedly told that her newborn’s heart had stopped.

“Two days after giving birth, my mother was told her baby had suddenly died,” she said.

“We later found out this was a lie.
“My sister was abducted alive from my mother and given up for adoption.”
At the time, Sara’s parents – who are originally from Republika Srpska – had refugee status and were living in Belgrade in Serbia.
Shortly afterwards, they moved to Slovenia, where the heartbroken family awaited the autopsy report – which allegedly arrived six months later.
Sara said: “They wrote that the baby’s lungs hadn’t developed properly and that was the reason why she died.

“There was no stamp or official logo on the paper, absolutely nothing.
“It was written so unprofessionally.”
Another doctor examined the document, telling the family it appeared to be false or incorrect.
Years later, Sara’s mother decided to contact an association in Serbia that helps parents who believe their child was kidnapped.
She said: “So that’s what my parents did, they took all that information to addresses in Belgrade where certain irregularities were found.
“They found irregularities at the cemetery as well.
“There was no information about a baby buried there under the surname Gojić.”
Sara claims the family were told no records could be found of a child named Gojić who died on that date at the hospital.
She is now convinced that her sister is alive and has vowed to track her down, as reported by Need To Know.

Sara has also launched an online appeal for information that could lead to her sister’s whereabouts.
She shared several photos of herself with the message: “If anyone recognises any similarities, please contact me.
“All adopted girls born in 1995, if you don’t know your descent, please get in touch.”
