A 61-year-old singer is reportedly engaged to an 18-year-old university student.
Grigory Leps, who was named Russia’s top-paid singer in 2014 and 2015, is in a serious relationship with a woman 43 years his junior, called Avrora Kiba, according to Russian media.
Grigory, who divorced his wife of 20 years in 2021, is believed to have met Avrora through her socialite mother, Tatyana Kiba, as reported on Need To Know.
The couple were first spotted together earlier this month before a performance at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
He shares three children with his ex-wife, Anna Shaplykova.
The couple are believed to have split because of his rumoured affairs with TV stars, Yana Koshkina and Yulia Baranovskaya.
In March last year, he was rumoured to be dating 26-year-old model, Elizaveta Riedel.
One of the singer’s friends, who chose to remain anonymous, told local media: “Avrora studies at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and, by the way, sings quite well.
“Recently, Grisha proposed to her and gave her a Graff ring with an impressive diamond.
“Now we’re waiting for the wedding.”
He reportedly got her approval before dating the teenager.
The engagement ring he gave her is reportedly worth 267,521.88 RUB (£268,000).
The anonymous friend added: “Honestly, we don’t understand why Grisha needs this wedding, Avrora is so young.
“But this romance has been good for Leps. He’s quit drinking and has started working out.”
Grigory is currently under EU sanctions because of his public support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
