A man who has been dubbed a “modern-day Hugh Hefner” has disclosed that he’s quit sex cold turkey.
LX Xander hit the headlines after revealing that he was on the hunt for his seventh girlfriend – one for each day of the week.
The 34-year-old, from Yorkshire, says that he used to feel “trapped, guilty and confused” in previous monogamous relationships.

Now, though, he’s put all of that to the side and has “ditched” his collective to go celibate.
“I’ve become so incredibly desensitised to sex at this point from having so many wild and exotic experiences,” the music producer told Need To Know.
“I need to ‘reset’ the dopamine receptors in my brain that are associated with it.
“I wasn’t enjoying it as much as I used to – in fact, sometimes I would be more anxious about the idea of [sex] than I was excited by it.
“I know this sounds pretty crazy, but it had gotten to the point where I’d struggle to finish during threesomes.
“To be able to really appreciate those experiences again, I knew I had to take a break.”
LX, who currently lives in Los Angeles, US, has since “broken up” with each of his seven girlfriends.
But not everyone is on board with the decision.
He said: “A couple of the girls have expressed frustration.
“Honestly, some [of them] have initially claimed to be supportive, but then not really respected my boundaries and been a bit pushy.
“I’m learning who I have to keep at a distance.
“It’s different with different people.
“Generally, I think that the girls understand it’s not necessarily going to be something that lasts forever.
“I still hang out and cuddle with some of them, but with others, I know it’s just going to be uncomfortable because they’re going to be getting horny.
“I really want to see this through to the other side.”
Currently, he’s a month into his journey and hopes to carry this out for as long as it’s needed.
He says that since quitting cold turkey, there’s a section of his brain which is “way quieter”.
LX added: “I’ve actually realised that I’m not really that horny of a guy.
“I don’t have this overpowering urge to just f**k.
“I think people really just want validation, intimacy and to feel desired.
“Even if my girlfriends left me, and if anyone falls off over this, then I guess it just shows the connection we had was purely sexual.
“I wanted to see what my life looked like and felt like without sex in it.
“I’m learning a lot.
“I want to get back to being able to feel that magic and innocence that I used to when I was younger.
“To find my own peace and happiness, I think this was what was needed.”
