A driver sparked panic after going the wrong way along the M4.
The light grey Audi A3 was driven in the fast lane of the motorway but in the opposite direction.
One motorist frantically beeped his horn to try and alert the driver.

He said: “What are you doing?
“Oh my God.
“What the hell.”
A front seat passenger in the Tesla filmed the horror moment on their mobile phone in a 10-second video.
It happened on the eastbound stretch of the motorway near Heston, west London at 9:18pm on Friday (27 Jun).
Locals reacted with shock at the foolish driver, as reported on Need To Know.
Vik Singh fumed: “What an idiot.”
Lee Friend joked: “Yep, Audi driver.”
One – named Maurice – added: “It’s great when it’s observed.
“But no one goes to the emergency phone.”
Motorists driving the wrong way down a motorway can be prosecuted for careless driving under Section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
They can be fined, given penalty points, or even disqualified.
